Used an Ektanar 2x zoom lense attachment. Didn't do major editing, mostly because I'm not too proficient with the software yet. I applied an RLE guassian blur, and also use a GIMP lighting effect to make a light source near the converging point, which is actually opposite where the real light source is.

Not sure if this strictly qualifies as an abstract, but I believe that while the components are recognizable (steel girders), it is not apparent what they a part of in this context.

Well, this was an experiment gone bad judging by the 17th percentile it ranked. It wasn't at all dangerous to get the shot - the banks on either side are steep and I used a telephoto to make it look like I was actually up in the beams. I had thought that by applying a gaussian blur it would make it more abstract than razor sharp lines. I was wrong! The original is a razor sharp image taken on a tripod, and I should have stuck with it. I learned a lot in this challenge, so I'll take the score and do better next time.

Nice idea. It could be sharper, but I'll bet it would have been diificult getting a tripod in there? 6

Excellent subject but the I-beams are out of focus.

It looks dangerous. Very good shot, especially with the sunny reflections further on.

A good idea, but way too blurry (I think it´s the camera´s fault)

Keep on shooting

This is too out of focus to work completely. Interesting forms.

I like the subject. Hope you weren't in danger. I think you need more focus. Sorry.

There's an overall lack of sharpness here.

Nice, but I can tell what this is.
