For generations they had lived here. This little scratch of paradise in a seemingly endless expanse of sea. They lived without interference. They lived without prejudice. They lived without judgement. Then suddenly, without warning, that all changed. One night, without warning, something else came. Something evil. Something HUNGRY.
Years later, the trees sigh in the wind, and if one were to listen closely, they would hear the lamentation of loss. |
