This is my little brother (from the Big Brother programme) his name is Steven. I have been involved with Big Brothers for nearly 20 years now. Steven is my fourth little brother. My first was a young lad called Sean, we were matched for 1 1/2 years and then mom remarried, then came along Marty (Uncle Marty to our boys) and we were matched for 12 years, aged 6-18 by special permission from the organization. After a 6 month break I was matched with a kid by the name of Fonz (no joke, his name was, Fonz) for 2 1/2 years and now, Steven for 3 years and counting.

It is an amazing programme, so if it's in your neck of the woods please check it out. Some little boy (Big Brothers) or little girl (Big Sisters) could be waiting for you to help shape their lives. Lord knows if I can do it anyone can.

So about the photo, I was going to do this one myself and place a ladder on the other side of the roof and position this one on the ground, but it made more sense to have some help with the shot and when I called Steven and asked him to help me with the clean up of the roof, I decided he would be better suited for this shot then I. After telling him what I was looking for and the mood I was hoping to catch he ascended the ladder and I laid it into the trees and started to snap away. I have some closer shots but I thought it was important to see the feet of the ladder tipped out of the sand.

I'm not expecting great things from this one, just good things. We all, at one time or another, have thought "I wonder how I would get down if the ladder fell over"? Those of us who climb ladders as a part of our living, that is.

Thank you Steven, you were a great help as always.

Here's one that I'm sure a few of us can relate to! I love how the ladder is stuck in the tree.
