I grew up on the banks of this river. Learned to fish there, dated there, went there for calm and quiet... I lived all my life at 5 minutes of the margin of it and there's a big bound between Tejo river and me. There I caught the two margins by night.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Hello! This shot has a lot of potential if done right and sadly, I'm not the one who can tell you the correct method :( But I will do the best I can with the knowledge I have. I like the idea behind the shot but the execution of said shot left a lot to be desired. The lack of focus or details really hurts this shot overall. Without your description that this is a river, I would have a very hard time telling, I can see very slight reflections in the lower left but I have to really search for them.

The blown out lights on the left really pull my eyes over there, making the other "margin" seem unimportant. I'm thinking if this shot was taken during the day when you could actually see the river. If you want to try a night shot again, wait for a clear night with a full moon and open the f-stop so more light gets in. Crop more on the left so the lights don't distract you overall.

Hope this helps. I was looking through your portfolio and love some of the shots you have taken, you have an excellent overall eye.

Good Luck In Future Challenges!

Seems like a good idea but it appears soft.

Too blurry and I don't feel like there is any real subject. And I can't tell what is on the right.

Dark, unsharp, poor composition, nothing to see. Sorry, real bad, what were you trying to show ? (I don't need an answer, but that is the question you might want to ask yourself).

This photo seems to be lacking detail. It is very hard to know what we are looking at.

Nice pic, it is hard to make out though what exactly is being photographed, unless you´ve been there in daylight.
I can see a city on the left but I don´t have a clue what´s on the right side...

Good idea. Unfortunately, the overexposed left overshadows the dark bridge in the middle.

I can't find a clear subject in your photo, and it seems out of focus.
