Sweet, though it has a slightly odd appearance to the image. A little soft, perhaps, Not sure exactly what it is. |

Needs better focus. Did you apply some kind of watercolor filter? |

The background in this image turns me off |

Unfortunately, the image is quite blurred with all the post processing. |

Cute kid. Shame it's OOF. The composition too is a bit off... the space on the left doesn't add anything to the image, and the stain on the sofa (is it a sofa?) is rather distracting. |

A like the idea but it would play better with a younger child and its also blurry or out of focus. Should almost always place the focus on the eyes. |

The image is a little too over-processed for my liking. Way too soft.
If it was B&W against a dark background and had better contrast you would have a good image as its composed well.

That would be lovely if it were only a little more focused and perhaps positioned so that there is more content on the right. |

Weakly meets the challenge. How does the picture convey a safety blanket? It does convey a blanket, yes. |

I think if we could see more of the blanket it would be better? |

Back to comment: To me, a blanket provides comfort or security, not a real strong subject for a safety challenge. On the image itself, it looks like this image was not sharpened after down sizing it for the challenge. Down sizing causes the sharpness of an image to diminish (decrease). Most people use Un-Sharp Mask (USM) after down sizing. If you have Photoshop try USM with a Radius of 1 - Amount 100% - Threshold of 3 or smaller to help the eyes of the child look nice and sharp. I also think that the composition could be strengthened a bit if some of the negative space on the left was cropped out. I would have given you a bonus point if the boy was holding a Redwing blanket instead of an Islanders blanket but it is nice to see that it is a hockey blanket.
If you have questions regarding resizing and USM, feel free to send me a PM.

A little out of focus, but a fun photo. |

If it was the Boston Bruins you would have gotten an extra point. Cute kid. |

Little bit too much denoise or neatimage used here I think; really nice idea and shot with good light but that over-smoothness spoils it a bit. |
