I really love how this picture brings out the moodiness that the sea often screams at us. It reminds me of the many sea voyage horror stories I've read or heard of. I also love the mixture of colors in the sky and am quite envious that you always seem to be able to catch such magnificent pictures with eye bogling skies!

This photo does not have the strange processing done to it. Looks like it is straight from the camera with little editing. I like this image the best.

great shot. there is a storybook quality to this- you can't take this shot without seeing it in advance- you have the ability to see the shot and I envy that...

or may be people accidentally think that when they click "2" that means the picture will end up being at 2nd place.. but that is insulting the common humanish's intellect :P but than again the common humanish can be pretty dumb!

I agree about not understanding how people can give this a 2. I question if they do that so their own submissions would get a higher rating!

Ég ætla að segja það sama og í síðustu viku:

I honestly can't understand how three people rated this a 2. Are they not looking at the same picture everyone else is?

Gríðarflott yfirbragð á myndinni, hún vakti strax athygli mína þegar ég horfði yfir thumbnailana. Hélt reyndar að hún væri ekki íslensk, fyrr en ég sá Hallgrímskirkjuturn. Vel lýsandi mynd fyrir Reykjavík. Minnir mig pínu á "A perfect storm" myndina, dallurinn og himininn sem virðist ætla að springa. Vel gert.

The boat in the foreground and the city in the background provide a great composition and leads the eye in that direction. The sky's dark color shows that its about to unleash its fury upon the city, a great atmosphere and moody colors.

I love the detail through the image, and the dramatic sky. This image makes me feel like I'm there. Very much enjoyed it!

Let me guess : Rejkjavik ? It has this typical Icelandic atmosphere with this strong blue and dramatic sky, which has become almost a trademark here at DPC. I like it. I would crop away the building cranes on the left side of the image.

The storm clouds really make this photo. Good timing!

Very good exposure and composition. Love the lighting in the see and how dark and gloomy the clouds look.

The depth of colour in the clouds, reflected too in the sea, really adds impact to this image and the composition works well too.

I really like the contrast in this and how the lighting draws your eye to the focal point.

I love the drama of the colors in this shot. The exposure, lighting, and contrast with the clarity of focus make this one stand out.
