 while wife was doing the Fathers Day Run / Walk here
i went to Station Pier precinct and with the DOF challenge in mind shot this ballard with a cargo ship in the blurred background

hopefully this will get onto my front page at least so somewhere between 5.5+++ to 5.7+++ will be nice

Good to have the boat in the background, I might like it better if the chain didn't cut into that image as much.

Interesting shot and probably a difficult capture with the high contrasts. The whites along the top background are distracting to me. Nice detail in the post & chain.

Nice dof, but it's not really all that shallow. "Well how shallow is shallow?" I hear you ask... I'm not sure, but I feel I need to be seeing a very narrow focal plane.
