Shot during the Vermont GTG on Sept 6th.

There little sheep were quite engaged with the DPC crew - i think it had more to do that we were feeding them apples than anything else...

This little sheep was 'busy' taking care of business at the moment I spotted it so there it stayed still very nicely for me...hence the title.

Editing: Noise Ninja, Crop, Adjust levels, Hue/Sat - convert to b/w and then sepia added, some minor cloning in background to smooth greens, dodging and burning on sheep's face and background. USM at 25,50,0. Save for web. Burn to create minor vignette - sepia added again, sharpen post resize, blurred a few oversharpened spots.

Post Challenge: I am very happy with the image and the score, but I had pretty high hopes for this shot when it was sitting over 6.7, but the late week voters seemed to tire of this face...

My goodness. Your tolerance of your model's "business" is amazing. Must say I don't know if I could've just hung there like that snapping away, but the thought of you doing so makes me laugh.

That is a sweet pastoral image. Looks as if she has a wise eye too. Knew a good photographer when she saw one ;-) Lovely photo.

I hope this shot gets the scores and credit it deserves. This one is brilliant in my opinion. Framing is excellent and background does not detract from the clear focus of the shot. The grittiness of the wool is excellent but doesn't appear to be over sharpened either. Just a great shot. The toning is also perfect. Great job.

A shaggy little bugger..love all the textures. The warm B & W conversion is also extremely appealing...very nice.
