Eleven DPC members and several more recruits braved the weather and met in Central Vermont for a late summer GTG near Quechee and Woodstock.
Pictured:
Denise eva2k0 "I broke my camera and I still came" 'nuff said!
John (Denise's nephew) Supplier of Denise's backup camera. John drove all night to come up with us...well maybe not really...we hear he was really up to see a pretty young thing living in Woodstock....
Rich Hot_Pixel - our fearless leader...He came up with the wise idea to meet during a hurricane...Thanks a lot dude!
Marie blackgriffin - Poor Marie was forced to haul all of Rich's equipment around all day...
Del DJWoodward - Del was one of our two surprise guests and we were very happy to have him there. A great guy, awesome photog, and winning smile.
Chris CEJ Chris came over two hours for the trip. A colorful personality, but we were all happy that he decided not to re-produce his "Laundry Day" shot for us, even though we did get to hear all the work he did into setting it up...
Chris cryan - One of the several Vermont locals. Chris is clearly the best of all the photogs present due to his fine choice of photo equipment.
Randy Rando D300 I think Randy may have been our farthest traveler and most dedicated GTGer. He even had a hat made just for the event. He's a great guy, a really excellent wild life photog, and you can just tell by his user name that he really wants to upgrade to some new Nikon equipment.
Pat patio127 What a neat lady - gracious and an infectious smile. We are very glad she decided against bringing name tags...we already look like a bunch of geeks, we don't need added proof!
Jane stargazer05766 Jane is a typical Vermonter - friendly, caring, loves nature etc. Jane was kind enough to help out Randy with a place to stay before the GTG. Not only that, but her puppy helped out Randy out by lightening his bag and headgear...puppies do like to chew.
Anni annig Anni is your prototypical Vermonter - big smile, hilarious disposition, loves life, and revels in the moment.
bassbone Me
Also in tow were my wife Carol and two soon to be users/ members James and Charlie.
Two other of Rich's friends also dropped by... I didn't catch their names (SORRY!)

A real pleasure to meet a great group of people , And some cool dogs Ruby, Zeke and Cali well worth the trip.
I had great time and learned a couple of good lessons ,
1)not to pick on Nikon shooters cause they have photoshop skills!
2) GTG are fun even in the rain
3)Tamron are good lens
4)Pelican cases have lids for a reason, LOL
Thanks for the good time .
