 Self portrait mdde along old road section of this trail just outside of Casper, WY. Been hiking this trail a lot lately for exercise and wanting to photograph it, so when this challenge came up it seemed like a natural. Very contrasty time, near noon, so underexposed heavily and then bungied a Nikon SB-25 (1/4 power from camera left)with radio trigger to a tree to add a bit of fill light on subject. PP=Adjustments to levels, curves, brightness/contrast and color, then just sharpen and resize.

It is my opinion that the photo would probably score higher without the person in the photo. But what do I know, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the photography work that I can see.

Nice, you might have liked to take this in morning light to get some nice, warm tones.
