Out in the middle of nowhere, hot and dusty path, a long way from navigable water. This made me laugh since the boat could not have floated there -- I don't think.

Manual mode, 1/80 sec., f/14, Sigma f/2.8 24-70mm @ 24mm (38mm equiv.), manual focus, tripod.

This image definitely meets the criteria of the challenge in terms of subject matter. The subject is framed nicely off-center in the foreground with the road leading the eye into the distance. I would like to see a bit more excitement in terms of color and value.

this is something you don't come across everyday, I like the colours, and the vast proportion of the trees.

good composition..

Meets the challenge well, but I would have liked to have seen better exposure on the boat, which seems a bit dark, and shot at a different angle (or turning the boat) so the boat's side is in better view.

Nice seeing. I like your composition with the road leading into the image. Too bad the sky wasn't really cooperating, it would have gotten anaother point with a nice dark(er) blue sky.

this boat is just too powerful.

would have been better for the "out of place" challenge

Interesting photo. I like the way the composition leads the eye. The shadows give drama and bring out the textures in the scene. As for the theme of the challenge, though, this seems somewhat unlucky for the boat and its owner as opposed to the happier, more fortunate, connotations associated with serendipity.

I love it when the viewer is practically compelled to make up a story to explain the photo. This photo does that. Technically well executed, too. Well done.

Is it fortunate to find a boat where there's no water? Or just unexpected?

Nice, captures the essence of the difficult Challenge well.

A good scene, but I find it a bit hard to see the boat, perhaps from another angle it would have been more noticable.

I don't know if that's serendipitous, but it makes me laugh!
