 Desaturated the background.

Then did some various burning & shadow/highlights touchup.
Applied the linear contrast setting in Curves.

Selected the whole thing with a vignette of about 10% of the side pixel dimensions and inverted selection.
Filled with black and used Overlay mode.

Lighting on cross was natural.

Well done! Interesting & kind of melancholy, for me. The L end of the cross needs more separation from the BG cross, if I was so lucky & this was mine I'd dodge the BG cross a bit where it meets the white cross.

The Light is interesting..I like photo's with bg desat. It can really enhance a single fleur.

Very neat and appropriate desaturation presentation. Works well. . . done well. Was the lighting natural or did you add it?
