 Set this up in my lounge; had flung a backdrop over a camp bed propped up on the back of the sofa... Infront were french patio doors and it was reaseonably bright, so that supplied my light.
Then I just pressed the shutter and hoped really : )
The lens is my uncles, but it was spare so he lent it to our family; but then my brother got in first and used it; and now as he has bought a camera IT IS MINE! mwaha : ) it is the:Canon EF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 V USM.

The blue of the denim is great. Perhaps you could tweak the colour of your eyes to match?

The focus seems to be on the forefront of your hair and jean jacket collar rather than your eyes here, but the range seems to include just enough of your eyes to make it work. Lovely tones and comp. Good emotion too.
