I'm sorry I didn't get to this shot before the voting was done. I think this really captured a serendipitous moment in the mist that frames the pair from above. I would have liked the horses (or are those cows) to be in a bit sharper in focus. Perhaps if you had moved in a few feet closer?

Serendipity is a difficult concept to visualize. For me it means being at the right place, at the right time, and being lucky enough to capture something unique. Some of these entries are set up shots trying to illustrate that concept, and some record a serendipitous moment experienced by the photographer themselves. This is a beautiful shot, and it may be serendipitous to have stumbled across the scene, but I'm not sure the image itself is a good illustration of serendipiity.

Serendipty? I don't know. You had to get up pretty early to get this one. Nice shot though wit the fog and trees. I can almost hear the birds singing. 10

Lovely pastoral scene and I like the effect that the bright haze/mist gives. Maybe some cropping at the top of the picture is needed. Not sure how exactly this meets the challenge, but still a very nice photo.

Lovely pastoral scene. I'd like it even more with about3/4 of the white sky cropped out and the animals a bit more off center.

What a beautiful picture!! I'm sure someone will tell you they would prefer the cows to be a little to the left or to the right, but I like them right where you put them. I can't wait to find out where this is. Good job!!

Very nice... I would prefer the horses not to be in the center since they are not the main subject here.

What a serene view. The mist sets the mood. The choice to put the animals in the bottom of the frame works really well.

Very nice image. The light is outstanding and the foggy mist really adds to the mood of the image. Well done.

Nice but would have been better without so much of the bright white sky. A little cropping of the top would make it great.
