I would have cropped a bit more off the left side. The tiny bit of flowers and the rust color distract. I also don't like the border. That said, this is one of my favorite pictures in the contest. Good luck!

Precise application of the rule of thirds (place the objects of interest at the junction of lines dividing the frame into 3 equal parts) will give you a better composition. Crop out the small bit of flower at the left edge as well.

I can see how this represents serendipity, because the flowers are not where they should be. I like the way you've composed this as well, and the exposure is spot on. The geometry of the sidewalk works well too. One of my two favorites to ribbon.

Nice idea, great execution. My onlt problem is the small pink area (merger) on the left edge.

Nice abstract. I like the colors and simpleness.

great, except the border. It's just far too wide and overpowering. Love the diagonals though

This is excellent. Great sense of composition. Almost looks like an aerial shot of two forests of blooming pink trees, prairies and roads. Surrendipitous. 9

Looks like it belongs on a wall.

Lovely colors and shapes. I wish the little flowers were slightly more in focus but still sings of the idea of serendipity to me - finding gentle beauty in an unlikely place.

Quite a beautiful composition. Consider recropping a bit to the right so the little flowers on the left would be left out of the frame.
