I was rushed with this one... So I apologize for the wonky hair, and the uneven skin (I used Photoshop for the first time a week ago, so I'm not even going to attempt to fix it as I will probably just make it worse lol). I put my 420ex behind me, a mini reflector in one hand and a remote in the other :)

I love those tattoos, although I'm too scared to get one done.

A great start, Jacqueline! The lighting is really good here and you really have a very warm smile.

You mention the 420EX behind you in a couple shots now, just curious how you are triggering that? I trigger mine with a 580EXII but that gets old especially when I disable flash on the 580 when using with strobes... is there another way to trigger the 420?

I use pocketwizards, and a hotshoe adapter of some sort that plugs into one of the pocketwizards (since the 420 is an older model and doesn't have a hot shoe or anything to connect to the PW)

wonky... heh... I have not heard that word in a while lol. This is a very comfortable shot. I get this sense of relaxation from it. Must be the pose. It looks great! :)

Looks good Jacqueline! Strong composition and you'll get the hang of PS in no time. Good lighting too. Well done.

Girl, your skin is perfect! You're not supposed to do anything about it XD I'm pretty sure that any 'corrections' to your skin would just make you look fake and made of plastic. So don't - leave that to us who actually have something to correct ;)
Besides, nice and simple portrait - I love the tattoos.

Lovely portrait. Your pose is superb and your skin, beautiful and natural. Please rush more shots like this, they're fantastic.

I agree with the others, your skin looks perfect, and I really like the natural look. I like how the classic look of this portrait contrast with your nose-ring, highlights, and tatoos. (PS-AWESOME nose ring, highlights, and tatoos!) The light is really great, but I'll repeat something Louis wrote on my photo and say that some catchlights in your eyes would have drawn us into the picture even more. Overall a great shot!

Wonky skin? This is a classic style of portrait, and it's lit very nicely. Restrained and lovely; a very good portrait.

I think you did very well with the lighting. I love your nose-ring :) Your hair and skin look fine! I love natural rather than super over processed. Great job for a rush!
