Anyhow, two of the little plants have survived. With any luck because of the watering, not their bug catching abilities.

Set up was in a light tent, no particular extra processing: Convert from RAW, levels, curves, a few color adjustments, sharpen.

Oh, yes, and a few outtakes that I couldn't resist posting here.

okay - very cool shot - and the black background is perfect to emphasize the jagged lines and dramatic killing power of these little carnivores...

I just love how graphic these little plants are - so "unplant" like... I like the dark BG.

Ouch! this is very sharp & interesting to look at. These blossoms are small, it would be a challenge to get it as sharp & clean as this--well lit, well done, nice job.

Nice lighting used here. It helps define the textures on the leaf/petal, not sure what to call it.

My husband loves these but can never keep one alive. He has tried and tried. Getting the watering precise is a trick that eludes him. I love the images against the black backgrounds really shows off their details. great lighting too!

I tried to grow these from seeds. The instructions said to leave it in the fridge for so long, and I forgot it was there, lol! Wonderful view of it.

Very cool plant! Certain times of year I have lots of little flying things sneaking in; one of these might come in handy.

Why does the Little Shop of Horrors come to mind here? Like the three together also.
