 Temperatures here are "soaring into the triple digits," air quality is poor, humidity is high. Ugh. Yesterday we had an exciting hailstorm with "continuous cloud-to-ground lightening." I have little desire to shoot cut flowers. I have a keen interest in mining the archives for gold, so I'm looking more carefully at old shots now, that I didn't take time to look at in the height of flower-shooting season (April/May & Sept./Oct). Original capture date is May 2006. I feel like I've learned a lot about photoshop in the last 2 years, so I chose this old favorite to try again. First I turned the BG jumble of color to black. Then I used Glowing Edges set to PinLight. I layered that effect back in to Multiply & erased a hole in the middle. It's funny, if I limit myself to Basic Editing I feel like I'm slacking. "D

Bold, almost aggressive, but everything still serves the tulip and water drops.

This almost looks like one of the pictures of galaxies that the astronomy crowd likes to post.
