 Chucky is now enjoying his new home miles from our house. We wish him well.

Chucky is the woodchuck (groundhog) that ate most of our green tomatoes, zucchini, and cucumber plants. We put up a chicken wire fence before vacation and he managed to hop it and get in to do much more damage. The fence was pushed down in that area and jumping is our best guess - you can see where he tried to dig out in a couple places but we we can figure no other way for him to get in.

We put the trap right next to the fence last night, loaded with broccoli, and caught him this morning.

How nice of you to catch him in a live trap and give him a new home. I hope he didn't leave bread crumbs to find his way back!!
The pose is great, looks as though he's saying goodbye.

This is sooooo perfect! Totally made me giggle. I forgot about that trap for a second, and when it hit me, it hit hard :) LOVE the expression and pose. very nice.

Congratulations! No easy task to catch these guys. Great capture, he looks quite curious and innocnet. Nasty sharp looking nails though!

OMG .. he looks like a cheeky sort'v guy and very inventive too ...
lucky he likes broccoli .. !!! .. its a great shot and i'm glad you took him miles away from your garden .. we've just started a vegetable garden .. well the dirt's there, we have yet to plant the seeds ... i'd be pretty upset if some animal came and ate all our potential vegetables .. :)
