I thought this was a pretty cool shot, nicely executed! Congrats on the top 10!

WOW, top 10 for this shot? I never thought, that this pic could score so high, because green is neither a usual nor a very nice colour for such a beautiful face. I think, that most of you voted so high because of her expression and her gorgeous eyes. I love them too!

As most of you I dislike the shine and the imperfections in the paint too. But the paint we used was such a wet kind of finger paint. My girlfriend was worry about getting the green out of her face after shooting and so I could not wait until it dried waterless on her face. And she was right... It did take her about 5 showers, but a little rest of green left until the next working day - Oops :-). Now I have to massage her feet every evening until the end of my life to make this forgotten. But for the 7th place it is worthwhile ;-)

Very interesting idea, the hair seems to distract from, more than add to the picture though.

my favorite----would have perfered there be no green on the hair. GREAT expression and perfectly framed. Lots of talent on both sides of the camera.

Very creative! Only one problem for me: There is a noticeable blue tint when you clook at the red sweater. The red could be redder. Overall 8/10

This is well done....quite effective. My first impulse woulda been to have the person dress in green too. But your choice was much better. The red provides wonderful contrast. The expression on the model works too. Did you have to coach them much?
Anyway I voted this a nine early in the week. Now I just wanted to come back and comment a bit. This is very good. One of my top 4 or 5. So far i haven't given any 10's. I just may come back again though. :-) Best of luck in the challenge! Grayce aka Gracious

Face is too shiny - if you have a polarizer, try using it on this type shot. The red and green don't look good together. If you are going to shoot this close to the face, make sure you go all the way with the make up (it's in her hair, and you missed some on the eyes) (3) MarkRob

Nice work. are her eyes really green? I always like it when I see effort was put into a photograph. This was well thought out and executed.

Very cool image. Great composition and crop. The green face is great and well done. Good facial expression and good pose. Nice touch: the blond hair over the face. Not so nice: the stray hair in the right of the image (distracting). The dress is not appropriate for the image; would have been better (more dramatic) if the model were nude or wore something close-fitting in black without any decorations. 8 Journey

That looks absolutely uncomfortable. Exclent relevance to the challenge topic. I think that the red shirt compliments the green features very nicely. I like the little bit of hair that is in the shot. Your angle and framing is excelent. The background works very nicely and focus and clarity are great. You did an excelent job with the lighting and making it so the green wasn't rediculously reflective. Very nice shot. 9 Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

Is that a look of envy or a look of wrath? (You made me put on this green sh*t and now it's in my hair!! ; )
Good strong image. I like the red/green contrast.

I'm predicting this will be in the top 5 for the week, if not first place!! This perfectly illustrates envy to me....the eyes, the red shirt, the face.....very nice shot...best of luck!

I like this picture except for all the shine on the face... mayb could have used some powder on the face to block some of the shine. Nice statement on envy.

I am torn on how this meets the challenge. Green is associated with envy, but in this shot, it's hard to find an emotion portraying envy. Angry looking shot.

Very well done shot. Excellent framing. Very original. Excellent model. Th eonly thing that could have been improved, I personally think, is if the background had been dark (maybe not black, but something with textures and dark). Oh, and maybe the flash could have used a soft gel on it to get rid of the hihg gloss on the face (the bright highlights like that remind me too much of the flash and gets in the way of the nice subject). 9/10

My favorite so far! Great job with the green. I love how her eyes are the very same color. Perfect combination. You are lucky to have such a willing model! 9

After going thru all the pictures, I am changing this to a 10. And it is my only 10.
I am sure you will do very well, if not win. You should!

I like this idea, but I think it needs more dramatic lighting, such as a dark overall setting... and get rid of the strands of hair and the red turtle-neck... it's a bit too close, you focus on the imperfections in the paint on the face and not the overall picture, and there's a glare... did you use flash?...don't use flash directly on subjects..
