This was taken a few days ago, but is a certainly is a slice of life for us.

Cartesia pretty much has a mind of her own, and this is the perfect example. We were passing by this at Meijer Gardens and of course she had to dance. If you look closely you can see footprints for her to follow, but she has her own dance. She absolutely loved dancing in front of the mirror.

This scene is typical for more than her dancing. You can see me taking her picture. There are so many opportunities and yet she moves so fast it's hard to capture her. wickee_one is there also on the right side, waiting for us to move on.

When it came time to leave, I believe I had to physically remove her from the dance area. Again, this is typical. So the drama begins, and then a few minutes later she's laughing about something...

You sure captured the perfect shot to show everyone who Cartesia is. You caught the imagination, the delight, and aspirations she has. The bright light works fantastically with this image and your dof is spot on.

This is one of my favs from your series so far. It's so unusual and expressive; a well balanced composition.

She is totally oblivious to you... I love the self-portrait in the background. Been there. Done that with my kids.

another brilliant photograph of cartesia .. i've just looked at amanda's 'the dreamer' ... and now this .. two fantastic photographs showing the personality of your little girl .. love this photograph ken .. the way she's jumping/dancing .. such joy of life and being right 'there' .. love the reflections .. and her fringe blowing in the wind forming a frame for her face .. :)..

To me, what makes it, is that she seems so oblivious to the parents and photographers behind her, and the world around her. I have a very similar shot, of my daughter, in front of a bendy mirror, which I must post too.

Just saw the photo of wickee_one. So different and so the same (hope that makes sense). Wonderful with the mirror and the basket on the right.

Awesome, and a wonderful 'emotive' fun candid, that brought a smile to my face.
