 Today we went to visit Ken's Grandma, we call her Granny Jennie. She lives in a duplex out in Schererville, Indiana. In front of her duplex is a nice pond with a fountain in the middle of it. I went out today with the intentions of getting a picture of the fountain and pond. Nothing was working though. Suddenly, I see Cartesia sitting in front of me enjoying the view. This was one of the first shots I got of her before she realized I was taking pictures of her. Once she figured it out I had to resort to bribery again.

I titled it "The Dreamer" because it looked as if she was off in her own litle world.

This is a great moment you captured because she's not in perpetual motion like she typically is. The focus is perfect for 2.8 at such a close distance. And the processing? Absolutely stunning.

absolutely stunning amanda .. this is one of the most beautiful photographs i've seen of cartesia .. the photograph, your processing and the way she is sitting like that .. those stunning colours all melding so well together .. just fantastic .. :)..

This is superb. The lighting, colours, composition. The whole photo has a dreamy misty mood. I love that the shadow behind her shows up her eye, in contrast. Did you use a diffuse glow action, or is that all just the narrow depth of field?
