I am so pleased this challenge came up, & I don't even mind that it is a 'basic' challenge. This image is almost straight out of the camera, with shadow & highlights, sharpening, plus brightness & contrast, then cropped & re sized.
These are the outer leaves the tropical plant a "Stag Horn", which went without water for a time, & the outer leaves went like this, all weathered, textures, paper thin, & lace like.
I love them, as they remind me a little bit like paperbark, but a lot thinner, with this wonderful fine lace like patterns & chalky color.

hey shez .. i scrolled thru this challenge page by page looking for this excellent image of yours .. cant believe you only got a 6.04 ..
i look at the images that beat you and for quite a few i just dont understand wot the voters were thinking ..
anyway .. this is absolutely fantastic shez .. i love it .. !!..:) |
