Setup: Shot with tripod and cable release. Lighting was achieved by a moving candle.
Subject: 30 year old copy of the Declaration of Independence from a gift shop in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Secondary light was a pierced tin lantern. Antique table circa 1780.
Post processing: Set levels and resized.

The lighting is what lifts this out of the ordinary. What a creative choice of light source and I love the way in which it is included in the image to provide a rounded shape to counter the straight diagonal edge of the document.

Your title says it all. This would be very good in a "Freedom" challenge. But it's a very nice image.
