I have an affinity for big beautiful trees. They seem so majestic and wise, if they could talk the stories they would have. I also have a love for IR and have really started focusing more on the B&W IR over the false color IR. Natually the Trees & IR go together so it makes it easy and fun for me! I took this with my new Canon 10-22, man it's wide and lets you really get up close on things! Hope this does well but I don't know anymore so we'll see.

this is one of those pictures where I always ask 'How did they get that effect?' and then always say, 'Oh yeah, of course,' when its explained. I love to learn.
I love IR photography and this shot has some especially strong elements; the glory of the central tree, the excellent shadow beneath it, the dramatic sky. However, my one complaint is that the central tree really blends into the background trees in several places. Tricky to avoid I'm sure, and still a great shot. 8
