Last night we heard some noise. One of the cats threw something on the ground. Is was our completely dry Rose of Jericho. Had no water the last 4 or 5 years. So we put it in a bowl, and today it's green again. Strange how some plants can survive endless without water.

The rose a week later

Nice DOF and texture. I like the bit of hightlights on the tips of the plant.

That is one neat looking plant! Does it get flowers on it?

I agree that it looks almost alien......like some science fiction creature, emerging to take over the world.

No kidding - how very interesting and a little frightening. These look like alien baby arms reaching up. Fascinating plant.

I've never seen this plant before. It's quite lovely, but a bit strange at the same time. Amazing detail, love the green.

Wow, to bad all plants don't respond like that, I could save a lot of money by not having to replace them when they don't get water. LOL

I'll let it dry up and make a photo again. It's the perfect plant for everyone of us who sometimes forget to give the plants some water. Main disadvantage: it looks sometimes a bit dusty.

Wish that theory had worked on my basil plants! LOL

That is amazing ! Did you forget to water it ??? Lovely textures. My kitten is slowly wreaking my dried floral arrangements- bringing me pieces once she has mutilated them !
