Ooooooo I'm always a sucker for these shots. The road's texture is great.

Your picture has that strip in focus, but doesn't seem to have a focus. I think I would have tried to find something in the small focus area or made the focal plane bigger.

this shallow dof might work better if there was an interesting subject in the focused area, like a lizard or a toad.
