I've been fooling around with actions lately and I really wanted to try the draganizer action. With that in mind, I got this idea.

I started by getting my wife to paint a black line down the centre of my face. Because my nose is kinda crooked and I have a bump on my head, the line didn't look to straight, so I used the rectangular marquee and the clone tool to make it perfectly straight. It doesn't look like face paint, but that's the look I was going for. I then did various adjustments to get the look right in the light side of my face and ran the draganizer action on the other. I don't know how well this will do, but it's always fun to fool around in photoshop.

Light and dark, maybe, or clean and rough, but I'm not seeing anything particularly good or evil about either side. Title aside, this is well composed, executed and processed.

I love the clarity and effect on this pic and it is a nice photo but.. if you maybe just made the 'evil' side look more evil (photoshop maybe?) it would have made the 'line' stand out a bit more.. that is only my opinion..:)

Great catchlight in the eyes. Nice clarity. I like how it's off-centered.

Little off center but other than that nice image.

Nice, I wonder if it wouldn't look even better without the black stripe. I would have also tried a symetrical composition, that is centered and rotating the face counterclockwise for a perfectly vertical midline.

Impressive job on the editing. I like the implication that light/good is less real, the imperfections polished away, no furrow of worry in the brow. Really thought-provoking image.

That said ... not sure it isn't just a bit of a shoehorn. I can just stretch my mind around the idea that the effect of the line is the subject instead of the physical line I see, so I'll buy it.

I think the subject doesn't have enough "evil" on the right side, interesting idea though

Nice shot.. I personally would have liked this better if the black side was not transparent.. Still very good shot IMO

Good concept. Centered composition would have worked better IMO. Great job with the PP of the face
