first time shooting portraits ever. this is the only shot i like, practise makes perfect! man, controlling your subject is hard as hell.

dont be fooled, i tried to make it as high key lighting as i could but i am under equiped (i used a bed sheet and home made "soft boxes" for my speedlites haha!). i ended up doing a shotty job just taking the good 'ol dodge tool to it to finish it off

Lovely lady and a very pleasant pose. The background and lighting etc. is fine for me, better than I usually manage. The other commenters make good suggestions.

I would remove whatever it is behind her head. It also looks like her right arm is doubled, or reflected or something... Anyway, for me, trying to figure out what these things are take my attention away from the main subject of your portrait; the beautiful model with the pleasant smile.

If this is really your first portrait, I can tell you that you are starting off a lot better than I have.
