This is my first challenge entry. I plan on entering a lot more.
Leighla was hilarious.

The idea behind this is actually that she is living in a crappy home, though she really doesn't care. She's okay with what she was given and she's going to make the best of it.

At first, when I saw it on the camera screen I was really hyped about it. ...Maybe because I remembered what Leigh was saying about that corner...anyways, I brought it up on the computer and I so disappointed. I was looking at it and I couldn't figure out why the hell it was so grainy. Finally I went to Fine Info and found that my ISO was at 400. I was ticked. My finger had accidently hit some buttons and it had changed. Leighla had already left so I was suck with what I had.

Hi Alissa,

Let me first start by saying that this is a nice image. I like the tonality of the image & the texture you were able to bring out in the wood & concrete thro-out the image. The composition is ok, here i think the placement of your friend is to tight to right of the image. I would have liked to see a little bit more of the wood & less of the leftside of the house. The left side gets the eye wondering and we can see that your horizon is slightly off (tree & power lines) & the wee bit of sky you captured is blown-out.

I think there is a bit too much un-used space in the left.

I passed by this shot the first time, but when it came back around....I really think the description of this picture really gives it justice. Great job! The only thing I think that would have made this shot supreme would have been by using a narrower depth of field, really focusing on the subject.

I like it, especially the contrast between the two different styles of wall.

I like this photo a lot. Nice colors, nice textures, the contrast works well, as does the composition. it's a better photo than many in the challenge. I think the problem that you may find is that people may not feel that it says "success" without the title. I could be wrong though. Nice photo either way!
