That's how these three pronounced the word "ready" over and over and over. Post processing was: sharpening, additional tilt, auto contrast and square crop, using Picasa software (i LOVE picasa for it's simplified crop and straighten tools); i then resized for the web using CS3 and one more click of sharpening before upload; the light was amazing on the Gulf at a little after 7 pm, and the children did not know I was shooting them, which made all the difference! They were having major meltdowns for 99% of the other 447 posed family shots!
The tilt is not exact, which will probably be mentioned. The children were very very tanned and might be too dark for dpc liking; I predict mid-5s for this, but would love mid to high 6 and top 50. I am probably delusional on the latter, but admittedly I love this shot and am proud of it.
I am proud of 40th place. Suffered tremendously with mucho 4s on last day of voting, as I always do, but no worries, as this was by far my PB and am proud of that. Regarding the tilt, I felt it is what made the photo unique and special, and for a free study with almost 500 entries, did not feel the typical kid shot would cut it. This was the only one shot in this manner in a series of about 300. Thanks for the support, votes and comments! I feel honored to have received such nice comments from fabulous photographers! |

Beautiful shot. I love the tilt. Don't let the tilt-nay-sayers get ya down. Turn it level and you'll see that it suddenly becomes a much more static shot. They just don't realize that as they look at it. Tilt away! ;-) ;-) ;-)

| I'd give it a 9 if it wasn't so angled. Why the angle? It's a perfect shot - you don't need the gimmic. |

| I love the angle, it makes a pretty picture an outstanding image. The reflections are perfect as are the poses of the little girls. One to be very proud of. |

| Fantastic image. Love the tilt! Reflections are terrific. Contrast and saturation are extraordinary. The waves add a dynamic feel to this. Very difficult to imagine how to improve! |
