 I stopped on the way to work to see if I could get a gator shot like this:


and I saw this hot looking "Skeeter Hawk" as we call them here in the swamp.
Manual Nikkor 300/4.5 at 4.5 with an M2 extension ring, no filter, monopod.
It actually was that red, almost florescent red in direct sun light. Here is the camera file:

PP, Brighten, sharpen.
Re edit with "Graphic Converter" to get better color control and remove dust bunnies, update post.

Unreal coloring. The dark green background makes it even more shockingly red. I love when dragonflies pose in the "ready for flight" position for photos, adds tension to the picture.

hey waddy .. ahhhhhh a dragonfly .. its winter here now in oz and we dont see them anymore .. all the insects are very hard to find, which i find a bit'v a pain .. !!
I LOVE THE COLOURS in this image .. you've really give some punch to your original darker photograph .. :)

I've never seen one of these but I wonder whether this is a little oversaturated ?
