Would be much, much more effective if focus was sharper, I think. It is just off enough to make it a bit uncomfortable to look at.

Hmm, can't really tell if it's night time or silhouetted, no moon, no stars, no planets. With shots like the eagle nebula in this challenge, shoehorn is an understatement. Sorry. 1

good idea, but the contrast is off and there is a bit of out of focus....

Great contrast and an original take on the challenge. Somewhat edgy, slightly ominous.

"here comes the night" gives me an eerie chill.. :) Those few hours before night always spook me. This photo gives that feel. It was pulled off well.

This is a bit dull and fuzzy. I'm not getting 'night' from this image - could be the start of a drunk nightmare, though.

No feature in the sky to draw attention.

What a brave soul. If it were in another challenge I'd have scored it much higher.

Nice shot, but does not show very well the night sky IMO.

Brave. I find this somewhat lacking in the technical and artistic departments. Almost a full set of grays, though;)

Seems really out of focus. Also, there isn't a lot of visual depth.

Silhouette of a tree line on an over exposed sky... ummm.... it's a nice silhouette.

"Use the moon, stars or planets" DNMC

You haven't really got any evidence that the night is comeing in this photograph

It looks like this image was taken from a moving car. Possibly not, a bit to much blur in the foreground.

doesn't really say night sky
