Taken this out my bedroom window, not the best photo!

Okay, I would just like to reply to people on this.

The Sun IS a star.

The entry guidelines do not specify as to whether the star had to be present in the photograph, it just said "use" them, which I have done, I have used the effect of the Sun (as a star) to gain the effect of a sunset.

Stunning colours - its just a pity we cant see more of the foreground, even if it was in sillouhette.

I really wouldn't argue that the sun is a star because the other part of the description mentions showing a night sky. If I can see the sun I don't really consider that night time.

Like you said however, the sun isn't in the shot so we are at twillight. Its not day, and its not night. Its kinda both...or neither. Much like water at 0 degrees celsius can be said to be melting or freezing. Giving you the benefit of the doubt I marked it as a 5. Not great but not bad.

Had there been a more interesting silhouette and this was a free study? Easily an 8 plus however. The sky is wonderful. If you have another shot like this I would encourage you to enter it in this month's free study.

I like the sharp contrast in this, and the brilliant reds.

Great colours
the black on the lower half really bothers me, is this a house?

nice cloud exposure but too much of the picture is uninteresting silhouetted foreground.

Beautiful sunset. It lacks the moon or stars though.

The juxtoposition of the harsh landscape line with the softness of the clouds is visually interesting. I'm thinking the cropping could be done differently. Less black space on the bottom and the right.

Great sky, not a lot of detail in the foreground for my taste, but it might be my monitor.

Great colours. I would have cropped the half of the dark foreground, but despite that a good shot of the night sky.

Someday I want to see one in person - my roots are from there. Thanks for sharing some awesome colors!

Beautiful sky. It would be even better with some additional point of interest in it.

Pretty sunset, but does it count as night sky?

nice sunset but the framing is out. crop the bottom off so that only the very top of the buildings are in.
