This is an excellent capture and well processed with maybe a bit of over-sharpening. The vantage point is perfect. I'm not sure I see this as a partnership with man and water, but man and board against the elements - water and wind.

Looks a bit oversharpened, but a REALLY good catch. I like the composition focusing on the water instead of the person.
