Like I told pawdrix and nixter - this was in my top 6 votes along with theirs. I guess I am drawn to a style that is the antithesis of my own. I really loved this image.

On the monitor I'm using, I can't see enough of the runner's face to know for sure, but in my mind's eye, I see him ever so slightly turning to acknowledge the applause of the two as he passes. To me, it's very touching.

I think I'd like to see this one in color, maybe even selective desaturation.

He's not that lonely with spectators watching on! Itdoesn't detract from the photograph, but be sure to think more carefully about the title as it can be an important aspect of your image, especially when people are voting on it. Titles can make or break an image! Good luck.
