Challenge: Masks (Advanced Editing VII)
Date Uploaded: May 31, 2008

The SC to ask me to 'Validate' this photo. I nearly fell to the floor laughing and in tears!

Don: aka Posthumous thanks for the award and for understanding!

My Internet went down last night, but this was my clear choice, so I'm giving you a Posthumous Red:

This is exactly what I was looking for, too...

I didn't vote or even looked at the pictures of this challange but now that I looked at it I agree with posthumous.
I can't remember where but somewhere in the bible it is said
"they have eyes yet they can not see".

hmm, strange. look like it could be a cover for "Farenheit 451" or "1984"

Ok, "censored" I get with the tape over the mouth, but the background is both distracting and does not support the message. Whatever is happening with the textures - something just seems to be off here. You've got this screaming guy...screaming about what? Because he's blurry and grainy for no apparent reason? An extra point for a good try and the benefit of the doubt on working hard to achieve a message; sorry, I just feel this missed the mark.

A little too gritty for my tastes, but well composed and executed (no pun intended if that's your subject's fate).

just a little too blurry in my opinion, but that may have been the effect you were going for?

This is an interesting shot! I like the editing... And yet even with it I feel like I know the person behind it. In fact that's exactly how I feel!

Interesting idea but I'm not sure this really seems like a mask to me. Also the harshness of the grain is distracting. Also I am not sure what is happening with his mouth, seems almost like a gag, or bubbles underwater.

Great concept and execution. Speaks to the times. I like the lines and grain, they work well with the colors. 9

The setup info for this would be interesting. seems a little to bland but your composition is good.
