Hi greetings from the CC, great choice of subjects. i like the sharpness in your shot and the water. If you shot with a higher aperature (i.e. 20-25) you would get a silky water effect. My biggest critique is that this is overexposed on the top, hard to avoid on bright sunny days, I find shooting early am or in the evening my shots get much better in terms of lighting. I am not sure if your camera has a spot meter function, but if does spotting on the bright spot will help. Or setting it to a daylight setting will help a little. Or you can crop more sometimes. I like your shot overall, just a few suggestions.

I can hear the water splashing and the creaking of the wooden wheel.

very nice but very harsh sunlight. I would come back at sunset or sunrise.

Would have liked to see a tighter crop by losing a lot of the left hand side as this makes the 'wheel' seem less important - nice photo

I like the photo but it looks a little light.

The deadcentered position is not good for composition. The rule of thirds shouldn't be neglected here. Also there is overexposure on the upper right.

The only (very small) enhancement that I would make to this photograph is to have taken it at a slower speed to blur the water and the wheel. Otherwise it is extemely well done.

nice shot!

altho it would have been better to get more lighting out of the other side of the wheel too...

this is much better than the previous one... the only problem to this one... is that the wheel is too centered... but much better

tricky situation with part of the pic in sun and part in shade. a graduated neutral density filter might have prevented some of the overexposure in the upper portion on the bldg. but nice pic!

Rule of 3rds. Wheel is slap bang in the middle of this shot

nice crisp shot, a little over exposed and under exposed in a few areas, but still a great shot

Composition great but too many highlights blown out on building. An overcast sky might have helped or perhaps a different time of day. Still, a nice image.

This is a tough lighting situation. The bright areas on the right lead the eye away from the wheel and alot of the wheel is in shadow. Unfortunately, to bring out the detail in the wheel you would have had to blow the highlights in the sky and water with basic editing.

I like the light and the capture of water droplets with the quick shutter speed. The composition doesn't grab me. Perhaps a vertical shot, or the wheel off center?

I think a tighter crop around the wheel and waterfall might have worked better. Shooting at a different time of day to get more light on the wheel may have helped too. Not too bad as-is though.

Great picture - how does the wheel catch the water though??? Looks a little high and dry!!!

One of the better waterwheel photos, IMHO
