 this is my gorgeous niece ann-marie .. she's sure come a long way since this photograph was taken .. !!!!!!!

thats one of my lame and very off colour jokes .. that shot wasnt 'real' .. ..

THIS ONE IS REAL ... !!
this was taken on thursday during the sydney writer's festival .. we went to see her do a reading from one of her monologues called slow .. she gave an amazing and extremely powerful performance .. not only is she incredibly talented, but she's beautiful as well .. i'm so proud of her ..

THIS WAS VERY VERY HARD TO PHOTOGRAPH .
i thought i'd get her when she got up to the podium and before she started her reading .. it all happened so fast .. couldnt use the flash in that environment and couldnt take a photograph during her reading .. got a couple of very ordinary shots ... then i thought i'd get her as she finished and before she started walking off .. it didnt happen .. she walked off so quick .. anyway .. this is the result of two photographs .. one before she got up there and one just before she started talking ... iso 1600 !!!

i lightened up the green process after steve socalsteve's comment on the black & white one which i've replaced with this colour version ..

and this is one with the added monologue ..

I didn't put 2 and 2 together, I'm glad you posted the other pic because I wouldn't have realized that was the same girl. I really like the soft green light on her face. Good job with both shots, and at iso 1600!!!

This is why they make Nikons! (jk :-))

It still seems very dark, but surprisingly noise-free.
