 The Monkees were a pop-rock quartet created and based in Los Angeles in 1965 for an NBC American television series of the same name. The show, which ran from 1966 to 1968, helped make them one of the most popular music acts of the decade. The members of the group were Davy Jones, Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork, and Micky Dolenz. The Monkees officially disbanded in 1970. Dolenz and Jones continued touring together for most of the 1970s, but were not permitted to use the name The Monkees.

this is bloody excellent ..
i took a couple of photographs very similar, and when i saw the thumb, for the first second or so, i was wondering when i'd put it in dpc .. !! .. then i saw your name and reality struck ...

love that one chimp with his hands up in the air ..
and there's another monkey with his fist sort'v clenched .. i can just imagine these guys getting up and rockin' .. for some reason they seem to be like a group of teenagers waiting for the band .. getting hyped up .. FANTASTICO ... !!

I was too young to care about the Beatles, but the Monkees! Now, that's a great group! "Hey, Hey, we're the Monkees" Aw! Now I'll be singing that all day.
