I'm shocked, just shocked. That the voters saw merit in this. I mean, really. A great big OOBIE to the voters, and congrats on this stellar image.

Stunning. POV and perspective and minimalist BW. (Looking at some of your portfolio I am refreshed by your use of perspective and light).

It did do well, and I'm glad. There's hope for the voters yet. Well deserved. Congrats!

the overall focus of your image really makes it stand out

Reminds me of a camel shot from time magazine

Love the concept and usage of the shadow.

I really like the values and contrast in this picture.
05/19/2008 08:00:39 PM
dramatic, well seen composition. while some might say it is too contrasty, I actually like the feel of this, the mood, and the curving line thru the image adds a flow to it that is really nice. 8

Very, very good. Great sense of the moment (biker lit in the shadow) and of the composition. Congrats
05/17/2008 08:15:04 AM
Love the use of the shadow here, and the line is a nice way to help lead the eye through the photo. Fantastic job!
05/16/2008 06:50:34 PM
way cool shot! like the birds eye view for this shot!
05/16/2008 04:36:03 PM
like the curve 9
05/16/2008 09:25:35 AM
Love the angle you shot from.
Would have preferred the cyclist being right on the line (sure you would have, too), but you probably only had the one shot. I know how these things go...
05/15/2008 10:49:02 PM
Great use of shadows and light.
05/15/2008 10:37:15 AM
Very nice. We're all told to not shoot images from "eye" level and your image is a good example of why this is good advice.
05/15/2008 09:42:59 AM
this is a very creative shot i like it a lot. i think there is just a little bit too much shadowing though. the whole front of the rider is black and it really takes emphasis from the shadow riding the bike.
05/15/2008 02:31:57 AM
Great shot! I like the way the cyclist is highlighted in the shadows. I wonder what it would look like if you rotated 180?
05/14/2008 11:58:01 PM
Clever perspective. This works.
05/14/2008 10:02:31 PM
Nice angle! Set me off a bit.
05/14/2008 08:51:56 PM
Love the composition.

Great use of strong lighting and shadows
05/14/2008 05:35:09 AM
The more I look at it the better it feels. Bravo.
05/14/2008 04:42:03 AM
Interesting perspective ! , Wish you had tried to bring out a little more details in the shadow areas , but I like it. 7

05/14/2008 02:56:51 AM

I really like your choice to make the shadow the central subject.
