Shot this in the Mohavi Desert late in March. Used a diffuser to cut glare. Cropped, slight levels, contrast, color; cloned out a bit of blossom that didn't help the composition. Unsharp mask.

Decent lighting and composition. You know springtime has arrived in the desert when cactus come out to bloom. I've also started my collection of cactus blooms and desert wildflowers.

i like the juxtaposition of the soft flowers and pointy cactus (perhaps more dof or closer to get a better sense of the cactus) I'm left with the overall feeling that I'm too far away from the composition to really study it and "get inside" the frame. I'd suggest getting in closer
