 these are paper wasps hanging upside down from the nest ..
i've put two other photographs with this .. one of dew drops hanging on a spider web in the morning, and another one of some branches taken on the firetrail with the rising sun ..

Old habits are hard to break, eh? It's pretty cool how close up you are able to get with these wasps. They look downright alien.

I really do love the dark colors that you achieve. I think this one would look good rotated 180 degrees.
