 This is a pseudo macro photo than ended on the cutting room floor. Apart from about a 10%crop and an added boarder, the shot is as it came out of the camera.

I think you had a great idea here. I really like how the pins look like they are floating and the color choices of them. I do not care for the OOF on the front pins and would rather see it more on the back pins.
