43 or so staples on a white plate. Lighting was using a desk lamp, diffused by holding a tissue over the plate. The title was inspired by "Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould"

Rotated slightly, desaturated, cropped, resized, adjusted curves, cloned out sensor dust and some annoying specks, sharpened, selectively blurred background to reduce noise, added border.

Reminds me of one of those famous M.C Escher prints; nicely subtle composition.

It kind of looks like a plan of a city

metal is kind of lost in the white background... Sonder if another color might have worked a little better...

I like this photo. The setup is simple, but clever. I am not sure if you kept the whole shot in focus because I can't tell if the nearest staple legs are fuzzy due to defocusing or just the sticky stuff that holds them together. In any case, great shot.

Perhaps a bit of contrast adjustment would turn this excellent arrangement and composition into a great abstract photograph

focus seems just a little off. I'm not sure if this is a b&w conversion but I'd like the staples contrast with the plate more. The highlights especially at the tops make the staples blend in.

Really interesting and well thought out composition.
