 It's a block of ice with some nail polish remover dumped on top of it. The flames were much larger and more yellow in my non-ice tests, but the chemicals started to melt the ice which deluded the chemicals, thus making the flamable part not-so-flamable. It didn't make for as large of flame on top of the ice as I had hoped!

Editting: Cropping, Curve adjustments, color adjustments, usharp mask in PS6.

cool idea... but... somehow it does not work
the fire is up on the ice, and the ice is in the fireplace...?!

Great idea! Range of brightness in image made this shot difficult. So why does it seem lackluster? I can't put my finger on it.

Plus one mark for the good idea. If I was going to criticise (I suppose that is what the comment box is for) then I would say that it looks a little overexposed and - no pun intended - lacking "warmth". A shot taken from an angle more to the left or right might have made this more interesting.

Love the concept! Somehow it falls a little flat though. Perhaps sharper focus on the flames, or a smaller ice block, or several smaller ice blocks...I'm not sure how to 'fix' it.
