it is a freshwater snail: Heliosoma trivolvis and is alive and kicking ... they are quite common in freshwater ponds ... the color is natural and i thought that they are actually quite cute ... certainly was not supposed to make anybody feel sick

Many people will not get the concept that lettuce is slang for money and indeed a snail would be at home on "real" lettuce. However, I got it.
