 Shadow/Highlights (About 50 percent)
Efex (Tonal Contrast for water/Pro contrast for entire image/Glamor Glow for face)
Selective whitening of eyes
Hue/Sat for eyes + curves (Cross-process) to get the blue.
Sharpening of lips
NoiseNinja on face at 50 percent

After the original shot in color, I went for a colder blueish color and so these steps were taken.

Solid Blue Layer (Color layer)
Selective dodge around face
Selective burn around eyes and nose

I might be missing some steps because I did a lot of tweaking.

This is what I had after the first bit of processing but uncropped.


Then cropped



I'm hoping for something above 6. It was hard to choose between the color and blue.

I didn't vote this challenge but I would have given your crop outtake a higher score than your posted image, I like the natural skin tones better then the blue skin of the submitted image. Supper image and idea. In fact I am even leaning more toward the full image with all the flowing hair over the crop. Probably would have been a 7 or 8 for me.

I thought this was soooo pretty. I loved the appearance of liquid blue glass. Very mystical in a way. Nice choice in going with the blue. Love the creativity of the photo too. Excellent job.

very sci fi feel here, I think its the blueness that does it. Spooky and haunting, yet very nice, this one is right up there with the best in the challenge for me.

the blue cast, scintillating water, centered composition, just right high-key treatment, her make-up, expressions, relaxed eyes, half opened mouth...everything is just perfect.
