This is a pedestrian/bike bridge over the highway very close to my house.

I played around with various angles and editing. Pretty much had to go with B&W because the lights were sickly yellow.

The funny thing is I thought the fence curving past the end was just something I had to accept, but when I showed it to people, many said "ooh - I want to know what's around the bend!"

This shot is the beginning of my return after not being inspired for about a month. I'm especially happy because I had another version that centered the far end vertically as well as horizontally, but I thought this was the stronger composition, and the voters liked it even so.

Here's that outtake:

Very cool shot. We've a place like that here in Hartford. Scary place. Great use of shadows! Congrats! Go team USA!

I think I like this better than the outtake. This makes me feel like I am part of the picture. Looks great in black and white. I love the strong contrast. I like the curve at the end too. Welcome back!

very cool b&w night shot, the absence of light I thin is what gives it its depth.

Very stark - like it a lot. Perhaps half and inch (on my monitor anyway...) could be lost of the bottom.
