If you look at your voting breakdown, you'll see that the voting audience is somewhat divided on highkey abstractish stuff. There are those who REALLY like it when it's well done (and this is) - those are the relatively high numbers of 7-10s. Then there are those who really DON'T like high key and/or subtle - those are unfortunately the 1-4s and they overtook your 7-10s. As I said, though, it is very well done - and despite the score you achieved your goal, I think.

Wow I thought this would do top 10 at least. My 10 didn't help you much.

Another top pic from me. I love how subtle this is, I like pics that makes you stop and think and this definetly 1 of those. After studying the photo you realise the body part, I love how soft it is 10 10 10!

WOW, this is very creative. Had the look into Fuhrman and before I noticed when it was a picture of. Very cool

Nice image - Like this a lot. Soft image and nicely done. Very simple but works well.

I think I get the idea you were going for, but personally I would have defined it just a little bit more so it didn't take me quite as long to figure it out. I do like the idea though.

subtle and beautiful- nicely done! :)
i love the curve of the nose, and that it is so soft and subtle; i love that there are no harsh tones int his image, its very nicely done- and I know that it is a nose withot the title, the other thing I like is that your tonal range on the nostril could be taken either way (ie forward, or sideways because there is only one nostril captured and the shading is done in a creative way!) beautiful!! -- ~10~

Clean and simple... maybe just a little to subtle.

A lot of wonderful high key photos in this challenge. Funny, when I first looked I saw the nose in profile, then front on.

HAHA - talk about subtle. Reminds me of Alain's back shot.

Strong minimalism. So simple and light that its almost relaxing sitting here looking at it. At first I thought it was a charliebaker image because all I could see was a white screen before pulling down (which would normally really irritate me) but after pulling down a smile came to my face. Very cool shot.

ooooo a real grower (the picture not the nose). When I first saw it I thought I didnt like it, but the more I look at it the more it appeals. Wonderful ethereal effect with the high key. I am sure that this is really going to divide opinion but for me it woks really well as an abstract

A risky (for here I suspect) soft-focus high-key subtle image. Just wonderful. 9
